Recovery Project - STAND TO: Ladybower Cycle Ride Update – 20 June 2024

Posted on: 11 Jul 2024

Event update from our partners at the STAND TO project:

“On 20th June 2024 Stand To took advantage of the brief summer and embarked on a cycle ride around the famous Ladybower Dams, which were used as a practice area by the famous Dam Busters as they prepared for their assault of the Mohne, Eder and Sorpe Dams during WW2.

There is nothing more beautiful than being out in the fresh Peak District during summer, exercising, talking (exchanging story’s) having some good old-fashioned banter and the occasional brew, all part of nature’s assistance with recovery.

24.6 km covered of trail riding – Life is good.”
