Posted on: 20 Sep 2024

We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of a Charlie, a former drug user who has turned their life around with the support of the Active Choices project!

Charlie's journey highlights the power of determination and the impact of community support in overcoming addiction.

After struggling with substance abuse, they found hope and guidance through the Active Choices project. With access to tailored support and resources, they embarked on a path to recovery, embracing a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. Charlie's story is a testament to the positive changes that can happen when individuals are given the right tools and encouragement.

The remarkable transformation not only showcases the effectiveness of the Active Choices project but also serves as a beacon of hope for others facing similar challenges.

The Active Choices Programme may be provided by Derby County Community Trust staff, but you do not need to have an interest in football to join; you just need to be someone in recovery who needs support - Why not get in touch and see if the programme is for you: community@dcct.co.uk
